LOOK WHAT I CAN DO

Pencil Drawing

I can draw!

By definition, I am an artist. I consider myself more of a storyteller that used drawing as a writing surrogate before I learned to write. So, I'm still perfecting this skill.

I'm an idea guy, as concept or storyboard artist I can be completely competent. I love a good sketch. Just don't ask me to do interior art for a comic book yet.

Here's more.

Writing

I can write!

People don't boast about this enough. There are so many illiterate people in the world, the fact that you know the very lying "I before E except after C" rule means you're ahead in the world.

Of course, this isn't what I mean by writing. I have a vast vocabulary in argumentative squabble and dissertation to quarrel with. I also have a direct link to an online thesaurus. The reality is that having a linguist for a father makes me very self-aware about my speaking and writing skills. Even as I write, I know I'm double checking spelling and missing half of the mistakes. All while my brain bursts with ideas and mingles with stories.

I like blogging, storytelling, and don't get me started on how much I like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain. Also, I write "Geo Was Here" wherever I can.

Here's more.

Performance

I can perform!

To some, I say: Get your mind out of the gutter.

To the rest: I performed at Disneyland Resort, music school, and my shower head always asks for an encore.

At Disneyland and the Disney Cruise Line, as my Resume mentions, I have performed the shows, parades, and even rides in ASL. I went to school in the Mexican music institute called Fermatta where my final test was performing an ensemble classical: Jailhouse Rock. I was the singer.

I like to sing and dance, but these are just hobbies. Unless you're Broadway, don't come knocking!

Languages

I can speak... and sign!

You read that wrong. I already talked about my singing abilities. Now let's talk about my signing...

I grew up in a household with deaf people, a linguist, and at a border city. That means I had my share of culture shocks in my own household. I can sign Mexican Sign Language (LSM), American Sign Language (ASL), speak Spanish and English fluently,

I have also dabbled in Chinese, Catalan, Spanish, and International Sign Language. Google them! Oh and I know a couple of songs in Italian. I'm Latino, but don't ask me what my first language is because I don't know.

One of the hobbies I have that encompass that of the "Language" and "Performance" sections are the irregular song translations I come up with from time to time and add to YouTube.

I embedded some of them below:
